Law 1 THE FIELD OF PLAY: The field shall be marked as illustrated. Players are responsible to assure that the field is readied at least 20 minutes prior to game time.
Law 2 THE BALL: Size 5 with stitched cover. Each team will supply 2 game balls. An extra ball will be located next to each goal area for spares.
Law 3 NUMBER OF PLAYERS: Only 11 players from each team on the field at any time, one of whom shall be a goal keeper. Three of the players, on the field, must be female. Keepers to be substituted at the half, or sooner if needed. The keeper will wear a different jersey tucked in. Players may be substituted by either team on a throw-in, corner kick, goal kick, kick-off, or during any game stoppage with the Referee's approval. Referees will stop play in the event of an injury and allow substitution for the injured player. Players must Enter and Exit the field from the halfway-line.
Law 4 PLAYERS' EQUIPMENT: Rubber cleated soccer shoes, or turf shoes, and shin guards are required. Shin guards are to be worn UNDER the socks and the jersey tucked in. Players may not wear watches, necklaces, earrings, pagers, rings, or other jewelry.
Law 5 REFEREES: NASA will furnish a Referee. The decision of the Referee shall be final. It is the managers responsibility to insure that Referees have been scheduled.
Law 6 ASSISTANT REFEREES: Will not be used.
Law 7 DURATION OF THE GAME: Game shall be divided into two (2) halves of forty (40) minutes each with a five (5) minute break between halves. Twenty (20) minute quarters with two (2) minute breaks between quarters and a five (5) minute break between halves may be used depending upon the weather and/or players requests.
Law 8 THE START OF PLAY: Conform to FIFA.
Law 9 BALL IN AND OUT OF PLAY: Conform to FIFA. To help the Referee, please raise your hand when the ball is out of play.
Law 10 METHOD OF SCORING: One point when a Male scores and two points when a Female scores. A male player may only score twice during a game. A goal kick will be awarded the defending team if a male player scores more than two goals.
Law 11 OFF-SIDE: Conform to FIFA.
Law 12 FOULS AND MISCONDUCT: Conform to FIFA except that all fouls and misconduct shall result in an indirect free-kick with the opponents at least ten (10) yards from the ball. At the Referee's discretion, if a male player is too aggressive against a female player, an indirect kick will be awarded against the aggressors team. All infractions shall be explained to the players involved prior to any indirect kick.
Law 13 FREE-KICK: Conform to FIFA except that all kicks will be indirect.
Law 14 PENALTY-KICK: There shall be no penalty kicks. Indirect free-kicks shall be substituted.
Law 15 THROW-IN: Conform to FIFA.
Law 16 GOAL-KICK: Conform to FIFA.
Law 17 CORNER-KICK: Conform to FIFA. A goal may be scored from a corner kick subject to Law 10 restrictions.
ADDITIONAL NASA ASSOCIATION RULES: Referees will keep score during games. Rules for the Adult Coed League may be modified as needed.
