Scheduling Matches:

    Step 1:  Reserving a field

Once you have received your match schedule from your CAYSA VP, schedule a field for your home matches by completing an on-line form.  

Your team is identified by a name consisting of "N" for NASA, or "R" for RCR,   Your team's age (e.g. 06 for teams with kids born in 2006), the division you play in (D3, D2, S2, D1 etc),  
 your team's primary gender (B for boys, G for girls),  followed by your teams name or coaches name. For example my son was born in 2003, his team, the Titans, plays D2 for NASA. It will show up in the spreadsheet as "N03D2B Titans". 
Your requests will show up in this Home Match spreadsheet.  Once their status says "Sched", your field has been assigned. 

    Step 2:  Communicate with your opponents.

Once you receive email from the scheduler, or the status of your request in the Home Match spreadsheet says "Sched", you should communicate with your opponents. Send an email to your opponents with the assigned date and time.  Ask them to confirm that the proposed date and time will work for them. 

    Step 3:  Confirm with the field scheduler

Let the field scheduler know that the match has been confirmed with the opposing team, by sending email to the field scheduler : or (the two email addresses are equivalent).

Please include your team's name (as it appears on the Home Match spreadsheet), and the date and time you are confirming.  

For NASA teams, the field scheduler will then update the match info in Got-Soccer.   For RCR teams, Caren Benouis will update the match info in Got Soccer.  Either way, you will need this done in order to print a game card.  Please don't leave this until the day before the match. 

Tracking the progress of your requests:  You can see the progress of your requests on the spreadsheet.  Sadly, the "list view" that we used in past seasons no longer works. However, you can see only your team's request by:
  1. Selecting the entire spreadsheet 
  2. Clicking on Data -> Filter Views -> Create new temporary filter view
  3. Clicking on the "chevron" next to the "Team" heading, and choosing only your team from the dropdown list as shown below:
Pay particular attention to the "Status" column:  
  • Prelim:  I have received your request and I'm getting it scheduled
  • Sched:  Your match has been assigned home field and time.  You need to confirm the time with the visiting team
  • Confirmed:  You have told me the time is confirmed with the visiting team.
  • Entered:  The time and field have been entered into Got Soccer.   You are good to go

Even the best laid plans get changed.  There is a strict 72 hr cancellation policy for referees. If you fail to cancel at least 72 hrs before the match, you are responsible for the referee fees.   If there is time plenty of time, simply cancel by emailing  If the match is less than 1 week away, also copy our referee assigner:  If the match is less than 4 days away, send email but follow up with a phone call to Aubrey:  (512) 517-0862.
