Game Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy
1. NASA intra-association games canceled because team is playing in a tournament other than a NASA tournament:
- NASA scheduler must be notified 2 weeks prior to game being canceled - less than 2 weeks will be automatic forfeit and refereeing and/or field fees will be charged to the team
- The opposing team has the option to reschedule (at their convenience) or accept a forfeit
- Only 1 reschedule will be made - if that game is not played, for any reason (weather - time of game - day of game - carnival - etc.), the opposing team will receive the win (3pts)
2. NASA intra-association game canceled after Wednesday (before the scheduled game) will be an automatic forfeit (loss) for the canceling team and a win for the opposing team. Refereeing and/or field fees will be charged to the canceling team. Answers to some of the excuses:
- Not enough players - U5/6 can play with minimum of 3 (2v2), U7/8 can play with minimum of 4 (3v3), U9/10 can play with minimum of 6 (5v5), U11 and above can play with minimum of 7 (7v7)
- School Carnival - see 'Not enough players...' above
- 3 Best Players Will Be Gone - see 'Not enough players...' above
- It's too cold or hot - see 'Not enough players...' above
- My players are still on vacation - see 'Not enough players...' above
- Etc., Etc. - see 'Not enough players...' above
3. NASA intra-association game canceled prior to Wednesday (before the scheduled game) will be rescheduled at the convenience of the opposing team. If a reschedule cannot be agreed upon (within 2 weeks), both teams will receive a loss.
4. NASA intra-association game(s) canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, will be rescheduled by the NASA scheduler as soon as possible.
The following conditions will effect the rescheduling of games:
- We only have a 10 week period to play all games
- Saturday fields are scheduled between 8:30am & 5:00pm leaving little time for makeup games - makups will probably be scheduled on Sunday between 1:00pm and 5:00pm
- If you want to reschedule on Saturday, you will have to take what the scheduler has available
5. Cancellation of games scheduled through CAYSA will follow the CAYSA rules. Usually requires reschedule of game within 1 week and possible $100.00 fine.
